For the most part, no. We need to be able to control the ordering process to ensure the proper material, size, hardware, and accessories are ordered. We also cannot offer you any warranty on materials that we do not supply. Controlling the purchase of materials also helps us ensure that materials are delivered on time and without damage, keeping your project on schedule and on budget.

This varies greatly depending on the size and complexity of your project. For a custom home, we typically plan for between 9 and 18 months, but each project is different. Before we start production, we will pull together a schedule with a reliable timeline for the completion of your project.

Our development process is unique in that it is extremely detailed, down to the last stud. By the end of development, you will be given a fixed-cost construction contract that details the entire scope of the project and everything involved. This granular process takes the stress out of construction for you, because there are as few surprises as possible. Of course, things change in the construction industry and sometimes change orders are necessary. But we hate the industry standard of using dynamic pricing as an excuse to hit clients with as many change orders as possible. Instead, we work hard to figure out a detailed budget, and stick to it.

Depending on the type of project, scope, and our backlog, the initial range of cost estimate can be provided as soon as the day of our initial site visit, but may take 1-2 weeks.

The final cost of the project is determined during our comprehensive development stage.

We are Certified Aging in Place Specialists (CAPS) with the NAHB as well as RRP certified for Lead Safe construction with the EPA.

While we certainly use these methods in some capacity, we don’t rely on them. Instead, we use an online project management and communication platform instead. This software is easy to understand and navigate and houses every single schedule, detail, and communication so that nothing slips through the cracks.

We don’t offer financing, but we are happy to recommend local banks that are easy to work with for construction loans.

Yes! We are proud to work alongside a group of trusted, local subcontractors, some of whom we have been working with for over a decade! We get better results working with individuals and companies who are experts in their field. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and adherence to science-based processes, and hold our subcontractors to the same standards that we hold ourselves. It’s very difficult, if not impossible, to be good (and efficient) at everything that goes into building or renovating a home. Additionally, many specialty trades require specific licensure.

That said, we do maintain the capabilities to perform many of the tasks that we subcontract, and sometimes we perform the work in-house depending on the individual project. But often it makes more sense for the project schedule and budget to use specialists.
